Meet Kiwi Authers
Building a Stronger District, Together

I immigrated to the United States from New Zealand in 1990. My wife Sharon and I chose Prosper to raise our family, and both of our children are proud Prosper ISD graduates (2016 and 2020). This community isn't just where we live—it's where we've built our lives.
As owner of Authers Building Group (ABG), I build public schools across the DFW metroplex. I understand facilities, budgets, construction timelines, and what makes a great school building. That first-hand experience is exactly what Prosper ISD needs at the board table.
Beyond my professional work, I've dedicated years to our community. I served as Prestwyck Community President for 6 years, and helped coordinate 10 Prosper High School homecoming parades.
I'm running because our students, teachers, and families deserve a board member who knows how to build—and who's been building for our community for decades.

Professional Background
I'm a construction and building professional and owner of Authers Building Group (ABG), a company that builds public schools across the DFW metroplex. I understand facilities, budgets, construction timelines, and what makes a great school building from the ground up.
I bring that hands-on expertise to the School Board: how to evaluate construction bids, hold contractors accountable, stretch taxpayer dollars further, and ensure our schools are built to serve students and teachers for generations to come. Through ABG, I also participate in CTE internship programs, giving students real-world career exposure in the trades.
Why This Moment Matters
Prosper ISD is growing rapidly. The decisions being made right now will define the district for decades:
- New school facilities and bond planning
- Teacher retention and competitive compensation
- CTE programs that prepare students for real careers
- Budget priorities that either serve families or fall short
These decisions need someone who:
- Knows how to build schools and evaluate construction plans and bids
- Understands budgets and fiscal responsibility from decades of managing real projects
- Has a proven record of community service spanning education and civic leadership
- Brings professional experience building the very schools our district relies on
- Will listen first, plan responsibly, empower educators, and prepare every student for what comes next
That's the leadership I'm ready to bring to the School Board.
